I think we need a new word. Something that isn’t demeaning. Something that doesn’t imply laziness or lack of effort.

I haven’t been able to come up with anything better than the options given by the commenters to Josh’s post. I kinda like “Kauffmann Business” (suggested by commenter Miles.)
Personally, I’m ok with “Lifestyle Business”… but this blog isn’t called “Nice Little Niche” for nothing.
